A team comprising of 10 nos. of students of B. Sc Zoology 6th Sem. along with 3 faculty members from Nagaon Girls College, Assam were exposed to various aspects of Fisheries and Aquaculture in the Fisheries Research Farm, Division of Animal and Fisheries sciences, ICAR-RC-NEH, Umiam on the 21st March, 2024.
        The students were given demonstration on different activities of fisheries and aquaculture in the farm like Hapa Breeding, Fish Hatchery Unit operation, pond preparation and management, IFS models, water quality monitoring, fish feeds, etc. Furthermore, the students were motivated for higher studies and entrepreneurship development programmes of the institute. The programme was coordinated by Mr. S. G. Singh (Scientist), Mr. P. Mahanta (TO), Dr. C. Debnath (Sr. Scientist), Mr. T. Tayung (Scientist) and Mr. Pynhun J.R., (TA) of Fisheries, DAFS.
